I brought these plans home today, no intention of immediately starting anything, did some work on Black Bart and then was in a holding pattern waiting for stuff to dry so I got looking at these plans thinking what needed to be done to do this in foamboard and well here it is LMAO. Says it takes a 50mm EDF but I'm not using depron so that seems a little underpowered to me. Probably going pusher on this one, already see more mods I can make to make the lines a little less harsh. yep, I got a problem lol. [ [

Dang! Yeah, you showed me that when I started mine! I was trying to do a curved thing and reinvent the wheel, but too late! What are the measurements on that? I think mine is going to be about a 40 inch wingspan and about 48 inches long. I am mounting the elevator higher up on the tail so that you don't need to do dual elevator servos. Kind of like a B1

It's 36 inch wingspan, 36 inches long. Haven't glued that top plate or tail feathers yet, it sits at 220 grams at the moment. Yeah I am not liking a dual setup on the tail but I think I have a solution for that

Yeah I am not liking a dual setup on the tail but I think I have a solution for that I just bent some thick wire in a U shape on the chipmunk. I actually did dual elevator servos on the F86, but I could never get them perfect. I am sure it is doable, but you have to do it just exactly right and you might have to dial down the rates of one of them. Plus, it wastes a channel unless you flip one of them around. Mine would always bank a little when I pulled up, which resulted in the F86 going into the ground in about a minute. But that plane was doomed from the beginning. I know I shouldn't have been conducting my first jet flight 10 feet off the ground, but I did. Deal with it.

That's how I will probably do it, kinda did the same thing with the L-39.

what size edf are you using?
I've read several things that you are supposed to extend your motor/esc wires, and not your battery wires. However, much as you suspect, I never heed that advice.

Everything is installed and all glued up. Went with a 2212 2200kv and a 6x4 prop with a 30a ESC and a 2200mah 3s for power. AUW is 637 grams. Time to make it pretty LOL! I dig it. I need to make a new edf, got a 70 and 50mm doing nothing

Here she is with some vinyl, just need to finesse the nose a bit and then some clear on all the black. Color looks weird in the pics, it is matte burnt orange.

I think depending on weight, it would fly ok with a 50mm. Looks good.

Hatches are something I was going to design in when I build the prototype. I can put up plans if you are interested.

I just don't want to be like some other people I know, and spam out plans I haven't built and beg other people to build them.
