Sunshine, no wind and the corn in the fields around me isn't high enough to be in the way! Flew the 150% DR1, the 125% LongEZ and the FT-22. No crashes, no LOS, no loss of orientation AND reasonably good landings. This morning was the high point of my FB flying career! I can die happy.

Nice, it only gets better! I fruitlessly searched for my Dragon yesterday. It disappeared. Gonna do more flyovers today.

Capped the day off with a leisurely flight with the explorer. I put half wing width separate flaps on it and with full flap you have to be power off as you turn final to be able to land. It flooooooooooaaaaaaatttttttsssssssssssss.

LOLOL! I just noticed I've been "band"! Lol, I did that earlier, you and your DR1. Capped the day off with a leisurely flight with the explorer. I put half wing width separate flaps on it and with full flap you have to be power off as you turn final to be able to land. It flooooooooooaaaaaaatttttttsssssssssssss. Nice, I took my ranger out today for it's maiden too. The previous owner put flaps on it. The wind was pretty solid and the plane has low wing loading and a power system designed for torque. First few take offs, no flaps. But then I put flaps down and it took off in about 10 feet. Same with landing. Definitely more of a calm wind plane, but still a nice flyer. I think I'll take the Floater Jet out tomorrow. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It flies nice, just seems a little low on speed for my liking. I may look into upgrading the motor (lord knows I have enough) but I also don't want to upset the balance of the plane. 2022-05-28_10-03-02 by Burkeomatic, on Flickr

Scout xl was a dream to fly, two things 1.I think my sister got the plotter settings wrong, the plane is a little bigger than the spec sheet says 2.flew way better on 4s than 3s I could hover it for a good 10seconds you need to keep air over the wings though for any aerobatics whatsoever. Video as soon as I can get one uploaded

I don't know, I have the ranger. Im not sure what I am going to do with the floater jet. I was going to fly today, but I started getting sick last night, and I needed to rest, and my wife had something to do this evening, so I am just at home with the kids. I have just been soldering up the flight controllers I have and poking at my clouds a little bit. I was hoping to take the dart out again today now that I have the thrust angle taken care of.

I flew it on 3536 and built to the plans were I could video is here btw flying could be better tbh but I was getting cg correct still i May be the first person to do a roll without ailerons

You get in trouble, just hit the throttle, and it will work itself out (or crash if you are aiming the wrong way lol). Maybe CG was a little rearward? That is about how my dart looked yesterday. I was porpoising more than that though. It looks like once you get it sorted out it will be a great flyer. I've always liked that design, I think out of all of the designs FT has made, the scout and the P-40 are probably my favorite. So it goes to say that scaling it up would be even better! They're good simple fun, and it is always good to have a plane like that around when your experiments crash and burn or you finally get your pride and joy sorted and it ends up lost for eternity on the roof of a middle school. Ask me how I know!
