I went and maidened my mini nightfury today. There are some things to work out, it yaws left for whatever reason. I think I will add a V stab to the bottom to work try and help.
Anywho, there was a thunderstorm rolling in, and I probably shouldn't have been flying anyways, but I also took the drift out and decided to put a pack through it. With winds at 15-17mph, and gusting into the 20's the little thing did struggle a little bit, but it was still flyable with the gyro on it. I had just decided to keep it in the proximity, but then I got adventurous and decided to fly out a little bit.
I guess I was a little low and the building blocked me or something and my receiver dropped signal (I am getting ready to upgrade my antenna now) and I kind of freaked I couldn't control the plane, and not a second later the RTH kicked in and took the plane back. At first I thought" oh no, the plane is steering toward the neighborhood" but as it kept coming around, I realized what was happening. It happens around 2 minutes .You also get to witness the worst landing I have had in that plane. A gust catches me right at the end.
