Dang man, looks like a few grand all decked out. I know the big ones fly better than the small ones. I am just thinking an extra $4k would get me a real nice project car, instead of the dumpy ones I have been looking at. Finding a rust free G-Body for $7k is a tall order. Although once I get expendable play money built up, I start feeling guilty and throw it at the house. Better for me to keep it to a few hundred bucks at the time, that way I can spread the guilt for my irresponsibility out. I did just buy a PLIII LIDAR gun to test my laser jammers with.... lol.

They're pricy. That one actually checks out to be close to $6k once it's got everything to fly. The big birds are wallet murderers

Here I am debating a $400 plane.... lol I bet I have $200 in EDFs laying around because I decided to go on a jet binge. Once my F-106 dies, I'll probably just do a big mig and call it a day. I know that thing flies great. Then I'll have a 70mm and 80mm to experiment with, and also a couple of 50mms laying around for random projects. I think the f-106 would be good for a 50mm size. It is rather large and unwieldy. Hand launching a 5 foot long jet was challenging. I am looking at making a design knocking off the Habu. Once you look at those RTF jets, they aren't as expensive as you think for what you get. Given a decent EDF set up is $100+ you are really just getting a nice airframe for $100. The Mig-29 is a true budget performer, but all that will go out the window with the big one. I am highly considering trimming down the fleet, or maybe mothballing a bunch of electronics until I figure out what I really want to build.

One thing I forgot to mention, is that I contacted the guy who cuts the EPP cores for the GrausGans plank. It is a 80" plank plane with detatchable wings. If I can get those, for say less than $100 or so, I am going to build one. It has a kevlar reinforced fuselage and everything.

That looks fun! I have been thinking of maybe doing an F-14. I just need to figure out how to make the wings swing. It wouldn't be an F-14 if the wings didn't swing.

I just don't want to reinvent the wheel. Pictures don't do it justice. 20220511_121004 by Burkeomatic, on Flickr
