First one flew pretty well. I think he wants a dollar for those files. More than fair consideeing the work he put in. I was in the beta group on that. 3D printed planes shatter when you have a whoopsie. |

I had some issues with some pla I was printing the saber out of, you also need to use a raft when printing fuse 3 and 4.
I am printing it in PETG this time around, so hopefully it will be a little more tough, and look good too.
I am just using the 13 dollar a roll amazon basics clear PETG and I am going to put some LEDs up in it, so hopefully it will look gnarly.

 Alrighty, we are good to go. Gonna start installing electronics in it. Looks like the battery will end up being a 4S1P 21700 pack. I will probably maiden it with a basic 4s2200. Gonna have 2204/2300kv motors spinning 5x5 props. I think the SU-29 will end up being next on the 3d print list. |

I thought I smoked my FC for this last night. I had one of those sketch VTXs from my 30 dollar box of FPV goodies, and I hooked it up to the FC and smoke started pouring out of it.
Grr.
Turns out where the VTX can be powered by the battery through a passthrough in the FC also has a LC filter built in to help with FPV video quality. A LC filter is just an inductor in series and capacitor in parallel. So apparently it just drew enough current (must have been more than 3A from what I can tell) it smoked the little inductor and the FC board should be fine. I'll probably just solder a wire there and stick a LC filter in there since I have a couple.
But, as I hurrily tore my FC apart I flung a couple of those little brass stand offs and chunked it in the trash before digging it out because something didn't seem right, so I need to find those. LOL

This thing hauls nuggets.
I launched it at 100 percent throttle and I was shocked how fast it just ripped away. Then I played back the video, it went 0-110kmh in about 2.5 seconds.
I did some neat flyovers, my daughter was on the camera.
This thing is a rocket ship, cruising at 55 percent throttle, it draws 10 amps and is going 65-70 mph.
