Yes I'm extremely late to the game but I'm going to take the plunge and make my attempt at The Sub 250 gram challenge . I have been collecting micro sized electronics .I have a 1104 4300 brushless motor with a 7amp ESC I have a Flysky FS6X receiver and 4, 1.5 gram liner actuator servos. also going to use some toy grade lipo 720 ma batteries. What I have in mind is I want to convert a design for a rubber powered free flight model to a full house 4 channel radio control model here is a picture of what I have now.

Well I just ordered some thin foamboard this stuff is only an 1/8 of an inch thick lets see how small a 4 channel plane I can come up with to fly in the softball park across the street from my house!

Where did you get the servos? And how do those work with that receiver? In the dark on those micro receivers and stuff. Think I need a bit of research into this S-bus , PPM , PWM stuff LOL! Oh my god I built that exact model when I was a kid ! I did notice that a Spitfire was also available same scale, one of my first as a kid. Guillows kits were always pretty decent.

I ordered the thin foamboard from Amazon it's a little pricey 30 bucks for 25 sheets but I couldn't find it anywhere else. It comes in 14 x11 sheets The little linear actuator servos use PWM output like any other servo. the fs6x receiver has PWM output as well as ppm and ibus via a pigtail that connects to the PC board.it has full 6 channel connectivity. I salvaged it from my now defunct AR Drone that the mirumod board fryed in.The 1104 motor that I just received from china fell apart so I'm going with one also salvaged from the AR 2.0 drone.

I got the wiring done for the sub 250 gram Micro plane. I also received the 1/8 thick foam board now I have to sit down and finalize some kind of a plan I'm going with IM leaning towards a motor glider but this electronics would fit nicely into a lidl glider. I think maybe something like a scaled down simple soar.

Look at the thread titled ''deepinlovedearstore gliders'' Those are cheetah gliders come to find out, the replacement for the lidl gliders. They are like 5 or 6 bucks each. It is like 7 bucks for shipping, so the more you order, the more you save. They are pretty tough, my kids have one, and that is what I am throwing the EDF twin 30mms on. I just need my ESCs to get here. You might pick up a couple of those.
