Here's a tip from Lucien at Innov8tive Designs. My store bought Staggerwing was designed to use a collet style prop adapter but my motor uses a nut with nylon keeper. Cut some sand paper to fit the prop adapter and glue it on. Tap the nut to weaken the nylon keeper. The sand paper provides enough friction on the prop that the nut will tighten by holding the prop. Side note: Probably my last store bought. Quality and fit weren't what I expected. Everything had to be fiddled with, factory glued parts popped right off, so not a very enjoyable build for me. E-flite designed it for their own pricey components like 7.6g servos (not 5 or 9, come on!) and a motor that has a different bolt pattern than a corresponding FT or Cobra motor. I get the profit motive but using their stuff would have almost doubled the cost of the plane. Once the wind dies a little I guess I'll see if it flies well enough to justify itself.

Thanks for the tip.
I am assuming E-Flite neglected the pink/white/red/green paint scheme as is traditional with these.
I hate to hear that about the kit. All my ARF EPP planes were easy enough. The Airloader and the Dart annoyingly required modifications. Sorry for being a snob, but you shouldn't have to modify a kit to make it work. I absolutely love my FMS ranger though. Good to know about eflite.
