I don't know if I can come up with 5, but I thought this would be fun as well, to go along with our other thread.
FT Nanoflerkin. That plane is freaking garbage. It is weird to build and flies worse. Overly complicated and under performing, I have a kit if anyone wants it.
FT Zero. It was also a pain to build, the 13th squadron one flies so much better and is much less complicated.
I build both of the above planes from SBKs after I was an accomplished builder, so I knew it wasn't me.
FT mini speedster. This thing looks a combo of cool and cute, it is ashame it is like trying to pilot a floating leave through the air.
Mini nighfury, was a crap sandwich, bad design, it was destined to fail.
ZOHDdart 250. You shouldn't have to go through tons of trial and error, guess and check, and a 4000 post long thread on RC groups to figure out how to get a PNP kit dialed in and flyable, but I guess you do. Now that the nose is comprised mainly of duct tape, I finally have it flying well, it ended up being thrust angle. Now that I know the problem and have it fixed, the only fuselage replacements I can find are 50 bucks... bullshit. A new plane is 80.... I don't think I will purchase from zohd ever again.
Actually, I hold disdain for any pnp kit that you have to ''fix'' Shouldn't that have been done already? The airloader wasn't horrible before I modded it, but it sucks at flying fast, I mean it will if you want to draw 50A but geez, why make it suck at slow speed handling too? Once I mostly fixed the low speed handling, it is a fun plane to do low and slow fpv with. It still either needs a T tail or the boom moved to the top. But that is too much work, and it flies fine the way it is. I put a new flight controller in it, and it is a mighty fine gyro, which arguably makes it more stable than the dragon.
Most 3d printed planes. The only ones I have flown that were worth a flip were 3d lab prints. Wasn't a fan of eclipsons, the model d was mildly acceptable, and some of the other ones I have found, the GASB One is ok, but 3D printing tech isn't quite there yet. When you wreck them, they are dead. This is the first thing that kind of made me question FT, they talked up eclipson, and I have build two of their planes, and I was impressed with neither.
This was a good one though.
