Alright, I was discussing with some folks on the discord about how I like to use construction flag to form angles in DTFB wings. This will work with v tails, t tails, winglets you want at an angle, whatever you want. It is how my night fury v tail magically stayed formed. As an added bonus, you can usually reangle them after your final assembly.
Timmy this is kind of what I was talking about, and you could use a few right angles to brace your stab on your plane. Although matthew duprez claims that baboo skewers are just as effective.
In this case I want the tailfins on my little sub 250 hammerhead angled outwards.
1. Get your wings cut out, and your construction flag cut to the desired length and bend it.
2. Slice little holes/slits where your ''spar'' will go. Alternatively, if you are making a tail with a mid mount stabilizer, or t tail, you could just jam the right angles in the middle of the foam. I have done this for impromptu winglets before.
3. Then just slip in your little bent metal in there, and glue or tape it in. If you needed to bend your wing, do whatever creases you need to do to get it to bend.
4. There you go, it was that easy. You could probably do curves like this, like those super awesome looking 737 winglets if you so choose, or a smooth contour undercamber wing.
Just a neat and cheap little trick I made up that will hopefully help you all.
