I use my 4k gopro knockoff, used to have it mounted to the brim of my hat but recently picked up a head strap mount on Amazon for $10 plus tax. www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00R4YCKIK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I plan on mounting that camera inside Black Bart as well for a pilot view of everything. As far as FPV I have a AIO AKK something or other LOL and an OTG receiver for my phone with the GoFPV app to record footage. I think all in that setup was around $40.

I use a Runcam 2 4K. It's good for on plane video, not so much for on hat video because of wide field of view. The ads say adjustable field of view but that is done digitally and affects resolution.

Thanks I just ordered one of the head straps from Amazon you can't always depend on other people being available to do the video work for you and the learning curve with some cameras can be steeper then expected.

These vivitar action cams are 60 bucks from walmart and film in 4k.
For my fpv i have a headset which i am conserdering upgrading which is an eachine ev800dm and I use a range of cameras. I try to stick to about 1000tvl or higher. The 600-700tvl super grainy, which is what is on my drift, but those are enough to get you around if you aren't relying on your primary fpv cam.
Apparently the runcam thumbpro 4k is good, but doesn't do anything my walmart knock off won't.
Most of my in flight footage is from my daughter filming from my phone. I have a head set up, but haven't used it yet.

I bought a firefly6s for $50 a while back and it does have a gyro, and it looks way better. I also have a run cam thumb coming in for my smaller planes, apparently 1080p too. $50 for that one too.

Oh, nice man, that sure will! My last big camera purchase was a insta360 go 2. So far my go pro is by far and large my best camera. Gotta pay to play. As far as action cameras go, my second best is the $60 vivitar wal mart one. I noted above it didn't have image stabilization, but I did figure out how to turn it on. I just haven't used it on anything yet. Go pro really has it figured out with the hypersmooth, nothing else comes close that I've found. The only thing that really works well with gyroflow is the runcam thumbs.
