Why don't we have this thread going yet? Are you all like me, and build tons of things that fly once, don't tell anyone about it, and keep building more stuff?
I'll go first. It was a very windy day. I took my daughter out, and it was too windy for her trainer (very low wing loading) but I flew it until the prop fell off. I finally got the power straightened out on it. I put a 2210 1500kv with a 8x6 prop on it, it will scoot and can over power the wind, but the wind catches it and carries it like no ones business.
Then I did a quick maiden of the AXN floaterjet. I was expecting this thing to be a twitchy turd tipstall prone plane based on reviews, so truthfully I wasn't looking forward to flying it, and if I would have had the opportunity to sell it by now I would have. Well, I had the opposite experience, this thing was a teddy bear. I had the ailerons too low, but it flew just fine. The motor/prop set up sound awful, and I don't think does as well as it could for a 2212 motor, but it flew just fine.
I threw the drift up, too windy, bad signal, landed in about 5 minutes.

I think I may have been looking for a thread of this name when I took up my P36 and 'the incident' occurred. I haven't been out since then - not out of frustration, just out of No Time Syndrome. Just wrapping up a bunch of loose ends at home and work before heading to FF22. I'm sure I'll forget to post stuff whilst there and sitting around the campfire with my boys into the evening, but I'll try not to!
