I don't know it this is "the" Lidl glider but I saw them at the dollar store the other day and for $2 each said what the hey. Knew I would need some kind of a spar for the wing to stiffen it up, its that indestructible foam, so I picked up a kite for a $1.75 to use the fibreglass rods that they use in those for my spars. A little heavier than CF rods but very strong, an excellent cheap alternative. Anyway I bought 2 planes and here is what I came up with. My intial thought was to do the mini drone conversion but the 2 channel thing doesn't seem like that is how I want to go, I'm thinking 1806 pusher in the wing centre section with ailerons and elevator, simple yank and bank 3 channel setup. The battery in one fuse , ESC in the other. I have the CG figured out, test glides were awesome, then I am thinking if I do that I will buy one more and extend the wingspan, as I think as it is it will be a little tight there for a 5 inch prop. Any thoughts my friends?

Any thoughts my friends? I flew mine on a 1406, so an 1806 would be plenty. I only did a single one. I found a cool pusher stl for little motors that may work for you. Ill have to check when I get home. Mine was fast for what it was. The airframe is good and slippery, so it doesnt slow down quickly. That is really cheap. I retired mine and the kids still chuck it around.Super tough foam.

And I thought I was getting creative with it LOL. That is very cool, I have been having a little fun with the little drone that I bought for this and have found it is a little more capable than I originally thought so I am having a hard time wanting to butcher it up for this. I picked up a cheaper, simpler one to use on this , haven't gotten around to doing that yet but that video certainly has motivated me a little bit to pick this project up again.
