I watched a review video of this plane yesterday and noticed these things on the back of the ailerons. What the hell is that? And how could this possibly affect this plane's performance? In video plane seemed to be hard to handle in gyro mode. Never saw anything like these before. swift one 2 by Chris McIntyre, on Flickr swift one by Chris McIntyre, on Flickr

My 3d plane has huge stall fences on the wing and that doesn't. So maybe something along those lines? It looks like in theory they would work to stabilize yaw in a straight line, amd make it act weird with the ailerons moving.

Anyway I ended up buying this in spite of sketchy reviews just because it was cheap. Plan is to cut those things off the ailerons and see what happens. Arrives tomorrow with the Zohd Drift.

Yea I think I will try them first and see. It arrived pretty damaged, it was packaged pretty decently in a foam case but it kinda got crushed on one side which curled the inner side of one aileron and the fuselage has a snake like centre line . All fixable . should have paid attention to reviews. Not a piece of carbon fibre support anywhere on it, all fibreglass rod instead. China. What else can I say. The Drift arrived as well, completely intact. I am going to put the sparrow in that. I like that it has that extra JST power plug to power the camera. I have one of those cheap AKK AIO's laying around here some where to start with, thinking about putting Runcam Thumb on it as well. The tail boom on it has a little wiggle so I need to address that.

That jst puts out battery voltage and not 5v. So if you aio takes 5v, you will want a little bec in the middle. Also, if you want me to make you a 2s1p 18650 battery for that, I would be happy to.
