That is way cool when are you going for the vtol F35 LOL! I already put it into a tree. It doesn't hover the greatest. I think it would be hard to VTOL something with only 2 motors longitudinally. I was thinking about a harrier with 4 separate 50mm EDFs and a quad FC though.

Video of said tree landing. This RTF is far from "R" lol. The VTOL hover mode needs some work. It wasn't hardly windy out, but I was heroically fighting it like it was.

It will slow down to about 15 mph and cruise really slow. I think about the fastest it would got is 50-60 mph. Maybe a little faster since I have a little more steeply pitched props on the way for it, as I broke my other ones trying to get down from the tree. The transitions aren't that scary either. I feel like there may be a mechanical issue to sort out, we'll see. I am still new to arduplane.

It looks fast just sitting there.

Wow that is really interesting the transition seems to need a little smoothing out it looks like it didn't want to change over for a min there.

It looks fast just sitting there. I guess it will be pretty quick. I mean, 70mph isn't slouchy is it? I couldn't maiden today, too much rain. I am hoping it will cruise around 30mph though, it should, in theory. They apparently have a good speed envelope. Wow that is really interesting the transition seems to need a little smoothing out it looks like it didn't want to change over for a min there. It didn't because I was holding the rudder. Once I let go it transtioned. It does need smoothing.

droneflyer200 or anyone really, if you are looking for a wing with a huge speed envelope, this CK wing is the ticket. I have a slower more thrust biased set up on it with the 2212/1400kv and the 7056 prop, but it will not stall. The FC in fence mode for whatever reason won't let you drop the nose, so I kept trying to land it and I just cut the throttle to zero, and the plane would just float down. It was insane, all most a vertical descent. I also got it up to 70mph. Not to mention my daughter and I flew it on one 2200mah 4s battery and it flew for 27 minutes and still had plenty left. I landed it for her and it was at 14.8 volts. Not bad! I wish I would have known about this sooner. I flew it in manual mode, it doesn't really need a flight controller, but a byme wouldn't hurt it, and if you plan on going long range, it is nice to have RTH.

Brovo Willow looks like she is a budding Emilia Airheart. Give it time she might give dad a run for his money in piloting skills

Second maiden of the day, the alpha strike... this is a pretty zippy plane. As you can see, I was hitting 75mph without really trying. I would say I could squeeze 100mph out of this set up but I just have an old sunnysky 2207/2100kv v2 I had laying around and I didn't want to run it too hard, because I had already made it stink once. I have a cobra motor 2213/2000kv on the way for it. I really like this plane except for the way it is a ground hugger on takeoff. cobramotorsusa.com/motors-2213-12.html

I got the cobra motor installed.
It is just a 2000kv, so it isn't a max speed beast, had it up to a little over 80mph today but that is about it. It could be my prop too, I think I will buy some more 5x5 props to try.
The 2212 does take a little more juice than the sunnysky, but not a lot. It climbs great. This planes bread and butter is the ability to cruise right around 60mph drawing about 7-8 amps, which is great. I can cruise about 35-40mph at about 4 amps, but where is the fun in that? I'll load the video up in a bit.
