I installed the elevator servo in the pylon and built the motor nacelle around it going to have to feed the power wires through the channel cut in the composite fin but its looking good. the construction seems extremely light so I think this thing is going to scoot on 3s and is going to be totally insane on 4s.

Wow, that looks superclean. I can't wait to build mine. Although oliverw has talked me into getting a puddle star, which in a round about sort of way is a twin motor version of this. I may try my hand at making a DTFB version of that before I take the plunge on a real one.

I did some more work on the Polaris tonight I glued on the top fuse skin and the nose block. I didn't want to go with the linkages the plans called for on the ailerons and opted to go for two servos and just use a Y connector rather then the old style linkage. Mind you this left me with a dilemma I had to cover the bottom of the servos from contact with water after all this is a flying boat. So I laminated a block of foam with gorilla glue and sanded it to the shape of a blister so it will be both aero and hydro dynamic. the gorilla glue is a little messy and its made the paper peel off so Im going to have to coat the foam with something to seal it. The guys on the videos I have watched use mod podge Hard.

I did a little more work almost done construction and moving into the finishing stage. sanded the nose block and glue on part of the wing tip floats will finish them tomorrow and perhaps cut the access hatch for the battery and electronics. I bought some Modpodge but I'm not sure IM going to use it they say it seals the foam so you can paint it but the bottle says it takes 4 weeks to cure. I found you can get an epoxy based two part sealer for foam I'm maybe going to try that or maybe will just take a chance on the Modpodge.

I can't wait until you get this in the air, it is going to be awesome! I am loving the progress on this. I haven't really built anything since the Flerkin/F-35 builds, I need to get another foamie going. 

I did upgrade a dragon and build a new FPV wing though, I need to update!

Well I'm going to change my next build from the PT 19 to the simple stager wing as MR NCT was nice enough to 3D print me the necessary parts. Going to have to find something nice to send him.

That staggerwing flies nice, you'll really like it. They look better than PT-19s anyways. (Sorry this was the only password I could remember at work lol).
